About the Instructor

Hi, I'm Sam! 👋🏻
I started this crazy business of mine sort of by accident during the pandemic. I was laid off of my job temporarily and had started a cooking blog on Instagram. Around the holidays I did a little video of baking and decorating cookies for my own family and soon I had people asking if I would sell my cookies. I thought  to myself:
“Why not? I’ll do this over Christmas and make some extra cash!”💁🏼‍♀️

Soon after I went back to work but the orders didn’t stop coming in. From the love and support from this community, I had become so busy I ended up taking a huge leap of faith and quit my full time job. This business is a dream come true - I had been longing to find something that would allow me the flexibility to be home more for my boys when they were still little.

It quickly grew and I was doing orders I had never even dreamed of: 600 cookies for West Point Grey Academy, an order from Monica Hibbs for her child’s birthday and even Givenchy head office asking me for cookies for an event. Eventually I started teaching my own cookie classes and this past year I started doing my first ever markets.

I am now 3 years into this business and it has fulfilled me and brought me more joy than I could possibly have imagined. This community has built me up, supported me and I have made some amazing friendships and connections through this process. I will be forever grateful that I took that leap of faith!
